My lung is not collapsed.

So I woke up at 2:00am with searing chest pain. It felt like someone punched through my sternum and was trying to squeeze the life out of me. I tried not to panic cause I figured that it would probably make it worse. I did a quick physical inventory, nothing exciting going on in my life so it wasn't a panic attack, no numbness or tingling down my arms so it wasn't a heart attack, and no blinding head pain so it wasn't an aneurysm. I figured it was probably heart burn so I took one of Simon's tagamets and went back to bed. Woke up this morning and my chest was still hurting. When I got to work I went online to check my symptoms. I was told either: A. I have a collapsed lung and need to go to the ER immediately or B. It's no big deal go to the doctor if it doesn't go away in a week. I'm pretty sure I don't have a collapsed lung so I think I'll be all right.
I went shopping during lunch today and got a sexy see through black shirt and a olive green pattern skirt. On my way back I saw Mr. Statue. He was painted silver from head to toe. I gave him a buck and he shook my hand. Now I'm getting silver paint all over everything at my desk. It's kind of space age looking, I think I'll just go with the look.

Joss Whedon has been reading my weblog. Or he's just responding to his fans who have the same thoughts that I do. (I know, scary) If you don't want to read the whole article, here are the highlights:

Last night in kung fu we practiced a throw. Then we practiced a counter to the throw. Then a counter to the counter to the throw and finally a counter to the counter to the counter to the throw. Lots of falling down and throwing people on the ground. I learned an important lesson: when doing a suicide throw* with someone much bigger than yourself, make sure you twist them a bit to the side or they will fall on top of you and squish you like a bug.
My coworkers are celebrating my birthday today (I know it was last month but Kungfukitten's birthday celebration is a summer long event, feel free to send presents.) we're leaving at 3:30pm to go to Dragonfish for a late lunch of chardonnay and sushi. Yum.
*Suicide throw. When you throw your opponent on the ground but sacrifice yourself by going down with them.

For our two years of blissful dating anniversary Simon and I went to Compass World Bistro for dinner in the garden. It was absolutely lovely. For dessert we had lavender ice cream, biscotti and a glass of ruby port. There is something to be said about getting too good of service. Our food was served in quick succession making for a fast meal when we were hoping for a leisurely dinner. Next time I'll make reservations for 8:00pm.

Saturday morning I slept in past forms class but still wanted to exercise so I got out my old tae-bo videos. I know, I know, shut up. To my surprise I found the tape exceedingly easy to do. I remember when I couldn't do all the moves and was winded or had leg cramps half way through. As a testament to my general fitness I was able to do the entire tape with high intensity while barely breaking a sweat. Compared to kung fu class that tape was eaaaasy.
