the problem would be that 98% of the male and 96% of the female population of the united states would be sporting orange and/or neon... but at least everything would be on the table from the get-go when any two neon-clad basket cases hooked up.

Here's a Question: If people were required to where Hunter's Orange because they were mentally unstable in relationships, then wouldn't everyone just refuse to wear the jacket? After all, who's going to come forward and start a date while making the statement, "I may seem like a good catch, but I have severe issues that stem from relationships I was in before I met you, and this will cause static during our dates. So, ya gonna do me or what?"

I hit that point about five years ago. Had lousy luck with women, men were just too hairy, sheep were bad conversationalists, and the less said about pumpkins the better. Threw my hands up and chucked the whole dating scene. Three months layter I met my wife...
