Turkey Day Wrap Up
2001-11-27 7:51 a.m.

Well, yesterday's vegetarian/vegan conversation was certainly interesting. I need to get flamed more often. (joking, I'm very sensitive).

The weekend went well. The turkey turned out great and all the side dishes were free range organically grown no pesticide or antibiotics or steroid enhanced vegetarian dishes. We had a lot of wine and it was a very good time. The funny thing about cooking in my house is that my stove doesn't have one of those exhaust vents above it so when you have the stove on for more than an hour, the temperature in the house goes up and the fire alarms all go off. I left the back door open but the cats got stuck in a sudden downpour and needed to be toweled off by Simon. They were soaking wet but very excited. They each got a little plate of turkey then retired to the cat hammock which is directly over a heating vent where they slept soundly for the rest of the night.

I've got my kung fu belt test Saturday and I'm starting to panic. I'm fighting off a cold and I'm terrified I don't know everything well enough to perform in front of everyone. What if I look like a dork? What if I throw up? What if I freeze? You'd think at my age I wouldn't get stage fright anymore. Ack.

Do you remember Monty Python's Holy Grail? Watch the opening scene done with Legos. Hysterical.
