Go back to bed, Lexi.
2001-11-05 8:14 a.m.

Saturday night around 2:00am the main character in the novel I'm writing, woke me up. Lexi was talking and she had a lot to say. I was very tired and hoped she's just babble for awhile and then leave me alone because I was way to tired to get up, turn on the computer and write down everything she was saying. No. Lexi talked to me until 5:00am when I finally fell back asleep. The nice thing about that was I learned more about her and my novel has finally taken off and has a firm direction. Usually my characters don't start talking to me and following me around until I'm half way through with a novel. I think she's lonely so I wrote a friend into the book for her.

Back in the real world I'm back at work, drinking my coffee and cursing Mondays. It's hard to get up when it's cold outside and the bed is so warm with two cats and Simon. The cats smell like advantage but at least they are flea free. Tonight is spa night for the cats, which is a fancy way of saying they will get combed and their nails clipped. Of course when I say spa night I picture them in fluffy white terry cloth robes with their little paws in a parafin treatment tub and painting their claws in interesting colors. Which I'd probably institutionalized for doing or at least a stern talking to by PETA.

Stupid link of the day: Rowan Adkinson as the Taliban. Listen to the whole thing it gets sillier and sillier.
