Fun with Auto Summary.
2004-11-07 5:00 p.m.

So on the NaNoWriMo forum, people have been using Word's Auto Summary tool to get a wacktastic summary of their novels. I ran mine through it and here's what it spitted out:

"Wheres the body?" Id never seen eyes like that before. Eyes simply didnt do that. One had close cropped blonde hair and light eyes. The other was shorter with dirty blonde hair and deep brown eyes.
"Werewolves." "Aidan, Zack, take her back to camp." I had reddish blonde hair, light green eyes and an ample chest. "How long youve been a wolf, Aidan?"

Flesh and blood.

When I finally fell away, breathless and head reeling, he grabbed me, brushing my hair aside and carefully touching the wound on my neck. He pulled his bloody fingers back and stuck them in his mouth.

"It's almost stopped bleeding but you'll be bruised for a few days."

"Was that the ceremony?" I asked.

"That was the ceremony of blood."

"And the ceremony of flesh?" I asked, my voice low and trembling.

"Is just beginning." Micah grabbed my hair with one hand and pulled me down to him. His kiss was forceful and commanding, as if he was afraid he let go, I run away. With his other hand he untied the knot in my pants and pushed them away. I suddenly realized that we were both naked. His skin felt like a soft fire against me. His hands caressed my face, my neck down to my breasts.

The problem with writing about hot woodland werewolf sex all afternoon is the insatiable randiness that follows. I have the sudden desire to run around in the woods wearing a low cut blouse. I need a cigarette and a cold shower.

Tell me what to do...
2004-11-05 9:19 a.m.

Good Morning. Zzzzzz. I'm so excited that I actually planned ahead for the weekend. I've got a bunch of Starbuck's Sumatra coffee and enough toast to last me through a wild weekend of non stop writing. It's going swimmingly well which is a bit scary. I know that soon I'll hit a wall and the plot will fall apart - already my heroine has walked out on her wolf lover and I have no idea how to reconcile them. Once again, I have a small chracter who has his own ideas on how the book should be written. I just have to keep writing and they'll tell me what to do.

F*ck Bush!

Nothing helps a really bad political hangover like Karaoke-novelling! I'm here at Chopsticks Express with Francesca, Josh and Ransom. I feel like a female version of Hemingway except I'm not a misogynist and he probably didn't write with an iBook either. We have four laptops lighting up our table and I've gotten about 1,000 words done. I'm drinking bourbon, IPA and we're smoking some Fantasia cigarettes (green and blue so far). I'm in the cue to sing The Donnas "Take it off." I figure I've been writing about sex all day I guess I can sing about it. Party on. (I'm glad I took tomorrow off). Half the songs sung tonight have political ovetones. We were all screaming "We're not going to take it" earlier. Heh heh. Francesca wanted me to mention the weird skanky broad (aka - the girl who is skanky and weird) who sings rock ballads in a low flat falsetto.

George, Steve and writing.
2004-11-03 9:36 a.m.

I woke up at 3:30am this morning and turned on the radio which is set to NPR and listened to the sad news. It was still close but I didnt think Kerry would be able to pull it off. This morning I was washing my hair when Kerry decided to concede. Then I heard that prop 36 passed along with 10 other propositions around the country banning gay marriage. Needless to say it was a rather depressing morning.

I got my coffee and sat down at my desk and started reading my e-mails which started with 11 CNN news alerts that had been sent out during the night. Then I find an interesting e-mail from Willamette Writers. Ive won the raffle for a coffee date with local sci-fi author Steve Perry. How cool is that? Just the pick me up I need for writing this month.

Speaking of writing, I went and picked up my A/C adapter after work yesterday and now have three files floating around: one at work, one on my laptop and some random scenes on my Yahoo! account. Once I get those spliced together tonight youll see a spike in my word count as well as one more for the body count and the first sex scene. Whoo hoo!

If I can quote KungfuRamone "Mandatory Gay Marriages for Everyone!"

Of all the people poled and we know how much that hurts...

Oh. My. Goddess. The presidential race is too close to call yet. I'm having a freaking coronary. Please please let me wake up tomorrow and find that Kerry has won.

Damn it Scotty, I need more power!

The worst possible thing that could happen to a NaNoWriMer happened to me last night. The A/C adapter for my iBook fell apart completely the little wires even shredded apart. Crap. I just called the Computer Store, which is now apparently called the Mac Store, and a replacement costs $89.95. Holy cow! Im sure I could get a third party one through the internet for cheaper but I need it now. There goes this weeks bar tab.

On the upside, I can clandestinely type prose at work during lunch but dont tell anyone. Im sure our tech people just love how much of our precious networking space is taken up by all my fiction.

I went to PT this morning and got a new exercise (oblique crunches) and lots of ultrasound and some massage. She ran her thumb down the right side of my spine, fine. She ran it down the left side and I nearly leaped off the table. Ye-ouch. At least we know where the problem is. Im taking ibuprofen like its going out of style.

Case dismissed, see you next month.
2004-11-01 9:49 a.m.

It took an hour of waiting in lines then waiting in a courtroom but I got my citation dismissed. Im so glad that nightmare is over and done with. It was totally worth getting up at the crack of dawn.

Youll notice Ive changed my logo on the left for the month of November. Ill try to track my NaNoWriMo writing exploits there, rather than making every single post I do for the month of November about word counts. I had stress dreams last night about characters and plots, however my subconscious mind did come up with some good ideas. To all my friends who arent writing a novel this month, see you in December.
