An entry about the weather.

Wow, I just looked outside and it's snowing! Big time! The radio said there might be a blizzard in the Cascades tonight but not in town. We're practically at sea level. The weather around here has been totally schizophrenic the last couple of weeks: hail, hot and sunny, raining, drizzling, cats and dogs and now snow. Insane. I'm going to put a sweater on over my tank top.

Josephine, nausea and ca-ching!

I spent the weekend in bed with Josephine Bonaparte. That sentence sounded much more sexy than it actually was. I plowed through a boxed trilogy based on her life. It was written journal style, but in such a way that you were quickly lost in the narrative. I cried when she gave Napoleon the divorce he wanted (although she had two children from a previous husband, she could no longer have children after being imprisoned and nearly beheaded. The terror brought on early menopause.) and I cried at the end when she died (autopsy showed an infected through and lungs full of blood. Poor thing.)

My rheumatologist has recommended that I space out my icky chemo drug for three meals. I also have the option of letting one of their nurses come at me with a needle once a week. I think Ill try spacing it out. Im so tired of needles. I could never be a successful junky. I hate needles, although Im no longer horribly afraid of them like I used to be. I remember being a child and having them do the finger prick thing to test your blood during your annual examination. I freak myself out so bad that I would go into shock and my blood wouldnt flow into the tiny tube. This resulted in getting my finger pricked four or five more times looking for blood. Stupid body.

I really have nothing else to write about. Um, I won $35.00 on Powerball this week. Not enough for my house at Ladds Addition and my Stephen Frye look-alike butler, but were heading in the right direction.
