Of course, if the said purse, wallet and make-up case were purchased at Wal-Mart (pronounced "Hell On Earth"), you could still afford to adopt a child. But then you'd be a Wal-Mart mom, and isn't the world already fucked up enough?

Oh, forgot to mention that I liked your banner with the sideways-glance peepers (either that's Kiera Knightly or my friend Risa) and the word "Violence" followed by "Pizza"...and the "Kung Fu Action" part helped as well (I love me some Bruce Lee!)

I agree with Halo Askew.... You need shoes to really get that adoption moment behind you. According to what not to wear they need not match the handbag/wallet combo either. So what the hell buy 2 pairs that should do the trick. And if not, get another cat.

Oooh, babies. I like to look at them but you're a braver sort than I am. Good luck.

My mom's cousin adopted a baby girl from China eight years ago. She is so beautiful! I really want to adopt a baby someday, but I'm only 25, in school, and in no position to do it now.

Clicked on your banner, and I just happend to love your journal. Isn't it a woman's best thing to do when she can't think straight but to go shopping. I find myself wondering around Wal-mart at 3 AM sometimes because I just got into a fight with the husband and I'm not so sure as to whether or not I should leave him or stay. What do I do in such turmoil, go purchase a new kitchen appliance or something nice for the living room perhaps. It's the only way I can make my mind rationalize. Good thinking, and good luck with your situation. I will be adding you to my favorites! :)

Hi. It IS possible to adopt a child on a less than $100K income - and you don't even have to refinance your house or redecorate!! And children last so much longer than purses ... which is both the bright side and the down side.
