Say it, don't spray it:

Ah yes, the iTunes music store. I call it "iCrack." Using the service is fun. It?s very easy to sit there and think, ?It?s just a dollar.? After a while, it starts to have an effect on the way you see money. I spent $25 filling up the gas tank in my tiny little car the other day and all I could think was, ?That?s 25 songs I could have bought.? While looking at my AT&T cellular phone bill (worth an essay in and of itself), I noticed that each time I request directory service they charge me $1.25. Basically that?s a buck twenty-five so some idiot can give me the wrong number. It hit me that a copy of John Coltrane?s ?A Love Supreme? is only $.99 on the Apple Music Store. For .99 I can own a musical masterpiece. For $1.25 I can purchase useless information from AT&T. Staring at my phone bill I realized I was hooked. So I went cold turkey. I didn?t go near the Apple Music Store, even though it beckons to you when you launch iTunes. I did great for the better part of a week, then I got my ?New Music Tuesdays? e-mail. The ?New Music Tuesdays? e-mail makes sure that even if you have gone cold turkey for a few days, you will be reminded of your addiction.
