Say it, don't spray it:

Be happy. Tofu tastes bad. You do not really want to cook meals with it.

I've had some success in deep-frying firm tofu. You want to make sure that it's good quality, fresh stuff, not that Nasoya crap. Pressing tofu helps firm it up and make it easier to stir-fry. Look for a recipe called Feast of the Arahats (Lohan Tsai); it's one of the few ways I actually like tofu. In general, Asian recipes work best for the stuff. Trying to adapt it to other cuisines just doesn't work.

I've been a fan of tofu for quite some time. My mom showed me how to make a really yummy tofu jerky, although hers always turns out better than mine. You take firm tofu, let it drain, and then cut it into slices -- thicker than a cheese slice, but not super duper thick. Then, bake it on a greased cookie sheet for 20-30 minutes. Turn it over and put soy sauce all over it and bake it for another 20-30 minutes. Repeat. You can also put seasonings on it during these last two steps -- I tried garlic and steak seasonings to excellent effect. After this, I usually just dump it in a plastic baggie with a little bit of soy sauce to keep it semi-moist and refrigerate it. It's the perfect for snacking on while you stand in front of the refrigerator as you decide what to eat.

Then again, tofu might very well be bad for your brain. article
