Say it, don't spray it:

I was sitting in the back of that same station wagon, except it was red.

you reckon that's expensive! try the UK where this morning I filled up for about $9.90 a gallon (if my conversion from litres to US gallons and pounds to dollars is right - you still have eight pints to the gallon, right? just your pints are smaller than ours). OK, that was for diesel - petrol is slightly cheaper. Maybe about $9.10. OUCH!! We had a green station wagon in the 1970s too - mum needed a car and, with the oil crisis you just couldn't get a small car. We called it The Tank.

I remember the long lines at gas stations in the 70's, but I have no idea why. Guess I was smoking pot or something.

Do you burn premium in that Mazda? Can it run on regular? It may run a tad bit better on regular and also get a wee bit better mileage on regular. that is an industry secret. Try it unless your owner's manual says premium.

My dad had that same station wagon, and I always sat in the back facing the wrong way. Thanks for the memory!
