The favicon thing has been broken for I don't know how long. It worked for about 2 months or so, then we had The Great Crash, and ever since then they don't work. I kept sending help reports, but got no answer, which is generally typical. I think Andrew now blocks my email.

Try this: After you upload the favicon.ico file to your images folder, put the following into your diary template above the tag: Just make sure that the path after the http is correct, though. That should do the trick, I think.

Crap! None of that came out because I am an IDIOT! Put this (inside of some "<" ">" brackets) link REL="SHORTCUT ICON" href="http://kungfukitten.diaryland.com/images/favicon.ico" Above the head tag. (Head, of course, also being inside those brackets.)

Oh, one more thing: Internet Explorer just plain doesn't cooperate on the favicon thing, so it might not work at all in IE.

The favicon works fine in the comments page but i do not see it in the main page.

Favicon is the devil. Never have I had so much trouble with so apparently simple a task. I think mine works for everything *but* IE at this point. Fragga griffa garkin' favicons...

I see it just fine in Firefox. But yeah, favicons are a pain in the ass.
