Rebecca is an awesome friend. I know you like to be independent, but now is the time to take advantage of your friends' generosity. Take care KFK, and please get better soon. :)

Crap, I don't know what to say. I'm just glad you have a good friend like Rebecca to be with you at the hospital. Things will get better soon. I'll keep you in my thoughts,KFK.

stranger here - chin up - bell's palsy can be stress-related. (my dad just got over it) with all the health issues to attend to, it could have been your body's last "f*#k-you" to remind you to slow down and take it easy. if you have vacation time, maybe you should use a chunk of it to get your health back in order. 2 cents.

Really sorry to hear about all your crappy luck healthwise lately. I wish you a swift recovery and I hope it all gets better from here. *hugs*

I'm totally the butch one.

Hang in there. My sister had bell's palsy for a while (a week or two, I can't remember exactly, it's been a while) after her first divorce. So susannah is right that is can be stress related. It could also just be an extension of your jaw ailment. If they didn't tell you, bell's palsy is caused because a nerve that goes through a hole is you skull (near the jaw area), that enervates the face, becomes pinched off. This is becuase the hole, or the area around the hole becomes inflammed and swollen. So, it only seems logical to me that it is jaw problem related. I feel for you! I hate it when you think things are getting better, just to be hit with yet another bummer. Our chi kung group will ohmm some good energy your way. In fact, maybe you should come learn the six healing sounds, and how to balance your endocrine system (also good for the skin)....

How did you manage to hit all of those keys with your head? How BIG is it? Hehe. Love,

Hey KFK, wishing you the best from Richmond. I really like reading your stuff, but I hate to hear that you've been so sick. Get well soon...

glockgirl - 2005-05-17 18:04:55
On the plus side, you probably didn't have to chug three gallons of radioactive banana barium smoothie to have the CT Scan done on your head! Hang in there. Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not ok, it's not the end.

Ransom - 2005-05-17 20:58:48
I guess that means I wear the lipstick... Did you have to snort barium coke to get the CT scan done? Hope it wasn't banana. I hope you spring back quickly.

Kungfukitten - 2005-05-17 22:18:20
I didn't know that fun and interesting drugs were involved in CT scans. They just put me in the little gurney and the clicking donut slid around my head. Took less than two minutes.

Damn, lesbian? Wish you the best of luck anyway. Take care!

crystal - 2005-05-18 15:17:28
hey lady. take care of yourself. i'll be thinking about you. let me know if you need anything. you're pretty close to my house. i can fetch and carry if need be.

Jasonaut - 2005-05-18 15:20:39
Damn KFK. I read about your hospital trip at nerdygirl and came over to find out what's up. I've never even heard of that, but I guess it's not like I'm a doctor or anything. If I haven't had it or if it wasn't on maybe the three episodes of ER that I've seen, it's a mystery to me. Good luck. Hope you're back to full facial flexibility soon.
