What sucks about taking three days off work due to sick leave is all the e-mails, voicemails and crap you have to deal with when you get back. I have about 200 e-mails to go through. Most of them are frivolous and can be deleted. What an age we live in.

Some good news. My eight boxes of girl scout cookies arrived this morning. The bad part is I have to hide them away until I'm done with my diet. Only fifteen more pounds to go. Actually I'm looking a bit sleeker and have lost all that icky back fat and waistband overhang. I'm still not ready for hipster jeans and tank tops but give me a couple of months.

Qigong last night was very fun. We had two new students that were great and we did a bit of aura work and goal setting. I love the meditation work, it always make me feel so good. I think I like qigong so much because it's something I do totally for me. It's all about me and I don't have to worry about anyone else. Even in kung fu training I'm always helping other people, either by teaching, cooperative exercises or providing them with a target. In qigong I get to work on cleaning myself out and getting myself in tune with nature. It's wonderful.

My joints have been hurting me lately and I'm not sure why. My knees, ankles and elbows have been achey and swollen feeling. It's annoying because I've never had joint problems before. I hope it goes away on it's own. I'm too young to deal with this crap.

I got the coolest pair of running shoes (and I wonder why my knees hurt) on Friday. They are white with chartruesey green accents and cute silver reflective cut outs. I broke them in by walking four miles around the golf course. The squirrels were only mildly annoying. I think the morning geriatric crew must have over fed them because although they did chase after me, their hearts didn't really seem into it. I think they would have been more interested in Small Woodland Animal Chewable Tums rather than more peanuts.
