Character reference

Simon got a new job! We are so happy and relieved. The idea of him being on unemployment was scary for both of us. I had to write up a character reference letter for him. While I was typing Loki was tugging at my ankle and meowing so I dictated his letter too:

To Whom it May Concern:
I have had the pleasure of living with Simon since September. And let me tell you, it sure is nice to have another man in the house. Before he arrived I can sum up the household in three words: too much estrogen.
Simon is pretty all right as far as humans go. He gives me tastes of his ice cream and once shared a fudgecicle with me. He often pets me but does not play enough with the feather toys. Other than that he's cool. Oh yeah, last week he remodeled the cat tree and added an additional floor. When I'm on the top platform we now see eye to eye.
I think Simon would be a great employee for you. He has lots of energy and seems to enjoy talking on the phone. Just make sure you pay him a lot of money so he can buy me more cat toys and my own queen size bed with fuzzy blankets.
